HIGH PASSING POINT DRIVERS QUALIFY FOR SPIRIT'S SKYSCRAPER

​​The second day of Skyscraper competition produced ten more qualifiers for each of Sunday's main event. Both the Ace Overhead Door Company 600s and the JS Weld-Rite/Mongoose Chassis 270s, competed in two sets of heat races. The order of the qualifiers were reversed as well as the starting line-ups for the second set of qualifying races.

At the end of the day the top ten in passing points for the 600s were Matt Smith, Lee Nardelli, Alex Bright, Damon Paul, Jon Keller, Steven Bracall, Travis Hill, Tim Buckwalter, Chris Fenimore and PJ Williams.

The 600 Micro sprint heats were won by Corey Andersen, Jon Keller, Nick Walton, Steven Bracall, Lee Nardelli (2 wins), Alex Bright (2 wins), Matt Smith (2 wins), Nick Sapp, Travis Hill, Tim Buckwalter and James Morris. A total of fourteen heats (seven in each session) were run for the 600s.

The top ten in passing points for the 270s were Jacob Hendershot, Ross Perchak, Ken Andreas, Alex Swift, Mike Rutherford, Ethan Cunningham, Mason Peters, Glenn Macomber, Ben Stole and Shea Wills.

The 270 Micro Sprint heats were won by Luke Fogg, Mike Rutherford, Ross Perchak, Ken Andreas, Sarah Napora, Lee Reinhardt, Shea Wills, Alex Swift, Jacob Hendershot and Ethan Cunningham. A total of ten heats were run for the 270s - five in each of two sessions.

Saturday's qualifying completes the top thirteen positions for the Skyscraper main events. Sunday's heats and consolations will complete the line-ups for the forty lap main for the 600s and the thirty lap main for the 270s.
